Dear friends, this is my fiirst post, and I need help.
I am build this monster tank these days.
I have filter canister Eheim 2217 and Eheim 2080.
Are they enough for this 1300 lit. tank?
Or I must buy another one?
Write mi yours opinions.
Thanks for yours answers,

I have a 284 liter tank and I have an eheim 2075, magnum 350, and 2x marineland penguin 400's. I'm in the process of building a sump. I would recommend you look into a DIY sump. I am extremely over filtered but if you plan on having more than just a couple fish I'd look into more filtration for sure. with a tank that size a sump would be the most cost efficient filtration hands down.

I think that is sufficient for a normally stocked tank...I would add one more 2080 like filter for added margin, esp for a normally over stocked malawi tank.

Not even close, maybe 2-3 FX5's would need to be added to the mix for Africans, especially if you plan on overstocking to control agression (would be a pretty awesome tank for sure!)

3 fx5 and 2 eheims for a 340 gallon tank? I guess over filter is not bad but there are going to be a lot of water movement in that tank.

I have both the 2217 and the 2080 and I can tell you that it wont be enough filtration. It definitely wont be enough water movement for cichlids.

I'd sell both those filters and get a 2262 AND a wet/dry sump.

Thank you all for answers. I'll buy Eheim 2260, and with the two existing filters and I hope it will be fine filtration at.
I have more questions. What filter media do you recommend for Eheim 2260, but since the original quite expensive.
And do you recommend to replace the existing pump with a 1262?
I would ask connoisseurs, who did the replacement of pumps, to write your own review.
Regards.
