Filtration for my 125 Red Head Tapajos

By using a Filstar XP3 on my 125 gallon tank (using a sponge on the intake stem)....
Would that be to much of a current if babies were born ?

I have 7 Red Head Tapajos in the 125 gallon (6 footer)...
