i just acquired a job cleaning/maintaining fish tanks for my friend's restaurant. the tanks are in horrendous shape, no heaters, no working filters. super overstocked so im surprised the fish are alive. they've been without working filtration for a while im sure. the gravel hadn't been siphoned in nearly half a year. i just siphoned and called it a day. going back with an xp3 for one tank. the other 3 im still working on getting filtration for.

here's the catch: the built in stands have a tiny amount of space alotted for filtration. the xp3 may not even fit. definitely no space for a sump of some kind. any ideas for small cannister filters? i believe the filters are old fluval 203's or 303's.

what are the tank sizes?

tanks are about 150 gallon very tall and very long but thin from front to back. did another gravel vac/10% change on all tanks again today. have an xp3 running on one of them now. trying to repair the other three filters.

One of the tanks I work on in an office is similar to this, very little room for a canister. There's a Magnum 350 on it, and it barely fits in the shelf the tank sits on, but it does fit. This is on a 150 gallon tank. There is also an undergravel on the tank with three powerheads and it stays pretty clear as long as the maintenance is routine.
