Looking for some advice on filtration in my Malawi fish room. I am currently pushing Hydro #2 and #4 sponge filters with an Alitia 60. My water conditions are good and the water is clear but I am looking for pristine water as all my fish are juveniles. Would it be better to add a second sponge filter or use an internal box filter so that I can add what ever media I want? I currently have 2 - 55 gallon, 14 - 40 gallon long, and 7 - 33 gallon long. The #2 sponge filters are used on some of the 33 gallon long tanks that are divided for future (crosses fingers) fry. I am currently stocked with Mbuna and Aulonocara. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks. Not sure how to post pics but once I figure it out I will try to do a fishroom build after I transfer pics from phone to laptop.

Try adding a powerhead /sponge filter combo to a couple of tanks ....see if it helps

I think I might have a few laying around and will try it. I also ordered a couple box filters and will try them with chempure, floss, and seachem-matrix.
