I'm going to be running a ac110 and a fluval fx5 on a standard 125 gallon. First off, do you guys believe this is enough filtration? The stock for this will be a growout tank for a couple of stingrays as well as maybe a peacock bass or two.

Secondly as far as media is concerned. I've removed the carbon from the ac110 and replaced it with more ceramic rings media, it still has the foam insert.

The fluval fx5 has yet to be set up, I see there are 3 media trays in it. The current media that I have available to me is potscrubbers, fluval pre filter media, polishing pads and carbon. Any suggestions as to which spots to place these media or any other suggestions. I'm on a budget as well.

Thanks much:D

IMO, I'd say that's enough filtration. For the FX5, stuff all 3 baskets full of pot scrubbies. You can usually fit 6-9 pads in each basket. If you're water gets cloudy, put a polishing pad in the bottom basket but be careful about leaving it in there long term; they tend to clog quickly requiring more frequent cleanings...

you have enough filtration for the fish while there small, fluval prefilter is a good bio media, aswell is everything else, exept the carbon, which really doesn't help all that much. id ditch that.

Don't use the polishing pads. They clog way to fast with the volumn of water going though the filter. I would ditch the carbon also. The pre filter media is good. I would add some scrubbies or rings.
