Hi,

My current set up is a fresh water 55G running a Marineland 60. In the coming weeks, am planning to upgrade to a 300G tank (freshwater). What is the best cannister pump which I can consider for the new tank. The features am looking for are - Quiet, External, Cannister, Does an excellent job.

The tank is being set up in our main living room, so want to avoid the sumps and other messy media.

Your suggestions are welcome for a Cannister filtration system.

Thank you.

i have a Eheim 2260,2262 and 3 FX5's both does a great job.Eheim holds more media but dont have the sponges.myself atm i will always go with FX5's due to how easy they are to clean, filter height,intake/return hoses and fittings.last thing that was my biggest reason is price, with the Eheim 2262 cost roughly $400 and FX5 $200 on amazon.
