FILTRATION question??

i am making preperations for building a monstertank,but do you guys use bio-filters or other ive seen people use pond filters also??
my plan is to build a 5600 liter tank size 250cmx150cmx160cm,how thick do you reccomend the glass?? please keep the technical part about the filtration simple english caus im from holland

Just about any filter turns in to a bio filter. It's just that some fitlers would be used mainy for mechanical or chemical or bio. I would use a big sump with good mechanical before the water gets to the bio.. and make sure you've got enough current in the tank to blow the waste around.
