I think I have enough filtration for the 210 I have on the way now, I just want to make sure. This tank is going to eventually hold a few large cichlids as well as some silver dollars, convicts and a pleco. I'm planning on feeding a little heavy to help keep the level of aggression down to a minimum.

Anyway, here is what I have so far. I have an Eheim Professional II 2028, an Eheim Professional 2229 (wet dry canister) and either a Eheim Classic 2213 or a Rena XP3. I haven't decided if I'm going to use the 2213 or the xp3 on my 55 yet. Whichever I don't use on the 55 I will use on the 210.

I also have two maxijet 1200's to provide some additional flow.

So, do you think that will be enough?

I would say you have enough. Personally I think you should have went with a large Wet/dry system, for one to keep all the clutter out of your tank and less filtration parts to clean. But what you have should do the trick.

I'm not a big fan of wet/dry filters. I tried one out when I had a reef tank and didn't care much for it. Anyway, with this tank I really want something bullet proof since I am away from the house so much and my wife really doesn't do to well at problem solving when it comes to tanks. I am away 25 - 30 long weekends a year either racing bikes or working. Living in the country power outages happen on somewhat a regular basis and from time to time this causes the over the back overflows to lose syphon when the power comes back on. I've also had sumps overflow because for some reason the syphon didn't break during a power outage.

Oh, I forgot to mention I am also going to be using a 36 watt Coralife turbo twist UV sterilizer.

They look like they have a lot of potential

Thanks. I went ahead and ordered a couple of Hydor 300 watt in-line heaters as well. Think that will keep the temperature pretty steady? The room the tank is in stays around 63 - 65 in the coldest months.
