filtration?

Go with two ac 70's instead of whispers. That tank will last you about 8 months you know right?

Sounds pretty good, you're looking at 1700 gph of filtration which is pretty good for a 125, as they grow larger you'll probably want to step up your filtration a bit, they can be pretty messy and you're going to have a heavy bio-load. Do you have a bigger tank for them as that TSN will outgrow a 125 no problem.

that sounds like superb filtration to me, in fact I know it is, I have exactly the same on my 125 with 50 african cichlids in it...the 3 layers of bioballs in the fx5 are gonna do a great job keeping the water in tip top shape, I love it!

should be ok with a good water change schedule..

thats more then enough.....ppl always will tell you not but your good to go!! FOR life but you will need a larger tank for your fish! 8x3x2 for adults TSN get huge but im sure you know!

thats what im running on my 125 right now...actually you got it better! Im running a FX5 and 2 penguin 350, you be good til they all out grow that tank!, you got any photos

Ive got a 8x3x2 and I wouldnt have a TSN. Maybe if that was the only fish I had. Even then it would eventually outgrow the tank. Too big and too gnarly. A 14" TSN wouldnt be shy to try and eat a 9-10" fish. Awesome fish but voracious and unpredictable. Oh, and they grow fast as hell. Alot faster than Pbass.

thats plenty of filteration i have two emp 400s on my 125gal with 10'' clown knife 13'' tem 20'' aro and 11'' mono and two 6'' plecos i do 40% water changes everyweek to 10 days and never have a prob with my water clarity or nitrites ammona or nitrates
