I can't figure out what is nipping the fins on one of my Bleeding Hearts and my Pink Gourami. In my (55 gallon) community tank, I have one bala shark, 4 clown loaches, 2 spotted pictus, 1 rosy barb, 5 blood fins, 2 plecos, one pink kisser and 3 bleeding heart tetras. The only fish that seem to be affected are (mainly) one of the bleeding hearts and the gourami. I have not witnessed any aggression other than playful chasing amongst the gourami and the shark.
The others tend to just go with the flow. :headbang2

the fin nipper is more than likely the rosy barb. and that shark needs some friends, and a much, MUCH bigger tank. eventually that thing is going to have a hard time turning around at 14 inches.

I'd also say the barb. I had some in my 55 and they killed 3 fish and almost killed another one. For their punishment they are now in my brackish tank. lol

Rosy barbs are fin nippers? I have two in with a bunch of mollies and have no problems. They (the rosy barbs) are way too busy racing the length of the tank most of the time to do anything else.

I think it's the pink kisser; since it's also a gourami and most gouramis are aggressive to each other.
