is that a question?
yeah I messed up, i was trying to ask what experiences anyone has had with these guys. Had to transfer into this tank, for a while, because they were tearing up my other fish.

Ya I had one along time ago he was a bastard, But LEPORINUS are a pretty cool fish as long as you dont have others with nice fins.

true that , very cool looking fish. i like to watch it stand up in defense when my firemouth charged it. i also enjoy watching them dart about my tank. the yellow and black combo is what first attracted me to them.

YES THEY ARE FIN NIPPERS JUST GOT RID OF ONE THAT WAS A FOOT LONG.THIRD ONE I GOT RID OF I JUST LIKE TO WATCH THEM GROW THEN TRADE THEM IN FOR SOMETHING ELSE.

Leporainus Fasciatus...notorious for nipping scales, fins, eyes, you name it. They are awesome fish though. Watch out, these guys love to jump. While acclimating one a few weeks back, it jumped out of a covered bucket twice in an hour.

Thank you for this thread, guys...I was just about to go out and pick one of these up for an exhibit at work! Our silver dollars and lima shovelnose look way too nice to have their fins and/or eyes missing....
