I drove my Bichir (a delhezi) from the other side of town about 45 minutes and his tail fin was fine when I got him but in the week ive had him his tail has started to fray and have a white area where the tailfin has receded.
What is the best method to go about helping / fixing / curing this ? Is it fin rot or fin damage? My water is perfect ...:nilly:

The white area is a good sign of fin rot. Your water may be fine but I would bet the trip has stressed him out, and as you will read a lot stress is one of the biggest causes of disease. It lowers their immune system allowing bacteria that is always present to take hold.

I use Myxacin from waterlife for this which is a bacterial issue.

Thanks guys. I used some Parasite Clear by Jungle because it claimed to help with that... Think it will work ?I can hook up my turbo twist 18 watt again after treatment would that help either? Im worried it will spread..

If I use the myxacin will it kill my Beneficial bacteria bed ? My hospital tank is all filled right now unfortunately.
