My jardini is going through another ordeal in less than 2 months (last month he swallowed a bottle cap and luckily threw it up).
Power outages in my area were up to 72 hours. I noticed the jardini had fin rot, so I moved him into a small 4ft tank at my friend's house which had power last night.

The temperature in the tank is raised to 30C, aeration is from the HOB and spray bar at the surface, aquarium salt is added, and water is medicated with API FURAN-2. PH is at 7.4.
Today I changed the water and re-medicated. Is there anything else I can do to help him recover? I've read of some people cutting the infected parts off but I would like to avoid doing that if possible.

This is what his tail looked like yesterday:

and today:

I can't tell if the infection is going away or not. He is slightly more active today (yesterday he stayed in one spot), but there's barely any room in a 4ft tank.

Raising the heat with a bacterial infection can make it get worse faster as it speeds the bacterial growth. Wish I knew enough to offer more advice.

Do a 50% water change and switch to Triple sulfa, that should clear it up. Add 1 tablespoon of salt per ten gallons of water also. It's not necessary to raise the temerature put it back to the normal setting.

90% of finrot in arowanas is caused from poor water conditions, generally just providing pristine water is more then enough for recovery.
