fin rot?

so i came home from work today and notice 2 of my fish have some chunks missing out of their fins, i dont know if its fin rot or just them being spaztic and running into the rocks and doing this to themselves. if it is fin rot what should i do to fix it and if not what it going on? only 2 of my fish are that way and they are the same fish but they have scratches on their heads too. im still pretty new to this so any help will be thankfull.

what is your stock?....don't sound like fin rot. but, all you have to do is bump the temp add salt. most likely, it's a fish nipping on the fins.

All you need is water changes. Doesn't sound like finrot to me.

ok so i have 2 silvertips sharks (finrot?), 1 pictus catfish, 5 serpae tetras, 2 s. petricola, 3 bolivian rams, 2 knight gobies, 1 albino longfin bushynose pleco.
and my shark are 4" and so is my pictus, but thats it everything else is 2-3 or less. they also have sratches on there head but i think thats just from hitting the rocks. thanks
