Fin rot?

I dont see to much of a problem it should heal nicely by its self. What other fish do you have in the tank with him. Other fish may be causing the damage. Good Luck
 
Most likely not Fin Rot... looks like Fin Loss.

Could be due to tank mates and or sharp/rough edged objects in your tank. Sometimes stress and elevated nitrates will cause weakness in the fish and the fins are the first to suffer.

Keep you water clean; might do more frequent water changes until you see improvement.

I know it sucks when your fish get like this but just like us they have bad skin days too!!!
