Fin rot

Alright my brand new fish I just got shipped to me has serious fin rot! not a lot of the tail has fallen off yet but all the fins are discolored I already treated the tank with melafix. Any extra advice I'm panicked

When I had this problem I did a huge water change (about 50%) with a gravel siphon trying to make sure that I got all the crap out from the tank and cleaned out all of the filters. I also dosed my tank with salt and some slime coat meds in a addition to the fin rot meds that I had. Not sure what actually worked the best but it worked fine for me. Hope that helps.
