So I've noticed my silvers fins slowly looks like a deterioration. So checked my parameters all gravy. Saw the temp was down to 73, 74. So I'm taking it that its been thar cold for a while should that cause it? Please awanser somebody. I don't wanna jump the gun and throw him in a 55 to treat if he doesn't need to its about 6in

That's sucks!! I would try raising your water temp to at least 82 degrees over the course of a few days or so...don't raise it all at once as a 10 degree sudden shift can send the Aro in to shock. Also add some aquarium salt to the water. Please don't overdo it...a teaspoon per every few gallons is plenty. If there is any parasitic, fungal or bacterial issues this should help. Also remember that the salt will not evaporate so after your fish shows signs of improvement do a thorough gravel vac with a couple water changes to remove all salt. Btw,..I would leave the temp around 80- 82 degrees with the Aro. Lower tempos and the fish are more orone to disease. Good luck!

I don't want to give out bad advice...I have no knowledge of rays. But I would guess that the ray would be fine. Aquarium salt is usually ok for all fish in moderate doses. It actually improves gill function. But to be in the safe side I was ask someone who knows for sure beforehand.

If you arowana has fin rot then you probably need to study up on what water params need be. With arowana fin rot = bad water quality.

+1. Everyone says "params are good" w/o even knowing a thing about bb amm nitrite and nitrares. .25-.50ppm ammonia is horrible.
