So my severums tail now looks like someone slit it from the end to the body like 5 or 6 times. have seen this before on fish, but am curious as to why. He was just put into a new tank where he wasnt top dog, not bite marks tho, I am sure you know what I mean. Is this from stress, or fnning out the tail too quickly? Anyway to help the little fella out besides good food and water?

my sevs get this also i just put the temp to 82 and add some salt to the tank and it goes right away it mostly happened when i had a sev that was quite dominant and the other twos tails looked like your saying i removed the aggressive sev and salted the tank and they both look beautiful
Its actually kind of funny..he and my gourami had an issue. They just started at each other face to face for a few then went and did some wrestling on the bottom...like legit restling where the sev would use his tail to whip the gourami to the gravel..funny. But no bites on either, just the sevs tail messed up looking. Will add some salt, thanks.
ya got the salt right now...how much do you add for yours? usually dont do much when it comes to salt...mine are fresh or salt, not a mix ha so I am unsure how much to add. Thanks
