Hi all, I've had a lot of changes done to my 55g tank but I'm finally at the point where I've hit my happy point, I've assembled all the fish I want to have. (for now...) This should be the final thread about my 55g's compatiability.
My questions are, do you think this works, is the bioload safe, how long does it work for?
55g long, lots of hiding places, plants, 2/3rds gravel 1/3rd sand.
2 Ropefish (10")
2 Peacock eels (5")
4 Weather loaches (5")
1 Sen. Bichir (5")
2 Lesser Sirens (9")
Small extras (untouchable, food, or moved out when threatened)
I've been told by a very reliable source that this combo works outs bioload wise, and I'm very close to solving space-wise. I trust my source, but I just want some second opinions.
I'm aware that when all full-grown these fish will not be able to stay in the 55g. I plan on getting a second large tank of similar size, or one giant tank for all fish-kind in a few years. Basically, I want to know if this works out for the next few years.
*If the bichir gets aggressive or nippy, he's out. I'll replace with Glass cats if I can.
*If the eels prove to be unable to get their share of food, I'll move them.
Please let me know what you think! I really love how this tank worked out and I want to know how long the fish can be happy in there for!
