no where
my 5 foot by 18: 2 oscars ( have 1 already ) 1 firemouth 1 male con 12 black skirted tetra ( have 5 growing out in my 20 long but getting 7 more next weekend ) and my landlords 6-7 inch pictus catfish.

20 long: livebearer tank with 5 harly tetras ( may be adding 2 or 3 mores )
but the livebearers includes: qite a few plats ( some may even go in the 5 foot cichlid tank ) 2 swordtails ( pineapple, 1 male 1 female ) 1 male guppy and a few female feeder guppys, when i get overstocked wiht frys then ill feed some to my oscars..

tanks not set up, 20 standerd and 29.

so how does that look?

finally i have a big enough tank to properly raise oscars! always wanted to raise then from babys to monster!

the filterataion on the 5 footer ( some say its a 112 gallon and others say 125 but the dims are 5 foot long 18 wide 2 foot high ) one eheim 2260, is that big enough for the 5 footer? and on the 20 long theres one internal filter rated for up to 35 gallon tank. so how does all that look to you?

yes with those dimensions your tank is 112 gal... as for the stock. sounds just about right. when the oscars get big they might eat those tetras, imo ditch the convict and firemouth and add a spinny eel, like a fire eel or tire track, etc. filtration sounds good but you should add a good hob like an ac110 just for back up considering the canister you got with the tank has some age to it.

hmmm thinking of restocking, 2 oscars 2 sevs abd a spiny eel. how does that look?

sounds good.

Ok 2 oscars and 2 sevs will not be ok in that tank. The oscars will probly fight and sevs dont always get along with each other. Not to mention that 2 oscars when full grown will want more room. 75 gallons per oscar is minimum. My friend has a 150 just for 2 oscars because they killed the eel and the midas that were in there with them

well then its settled. ill take back the firemouth, ( dnt know where the black male con is ) and get 1 more oscar and 2 sevs, and gunna skip the eel cause im gunna have 12 black skirted tetras in there
