Final stocking decision

Ok for my 290 i have decided i will get 1 silver arawana 2 wide bar dats 1 royal knife 1 delhezi bichir and 1 royal pleco. Just want to know what everyone thinks of it and if i should add more fish to the list or take some off.

a royal pleco that can keep up in size might be hard to find....but otherwise cool selection!

I would be careful with the royal. If they all start out at the same size the pleco might become food.

Make sure you get pics! thats going to be a nice tank

Sounds like some good choices to me. But like they said, I'd either get as big of royal as possible to start off with or grow one out in a different tank until it can hang with the big boys.

Hey bigfish - what do you currently have in your 500 gallon?

Im hoping to get an Aro around 4-6 in and i have a guy in portland thats got some larger royal plecos. For my 500 gallon my dad has taken it over and currently has 5 small mouth bass 2 large mouth bass 13 bluegill and sunfish and a channel catfish. All caught except the channel of course.

I have also seen lungfish with arawanas so could that be another possibility.

Well, not an african lungfish, too risky. I've seen one that bit a 15 inch pleco's head off.

A SA one would be fine.
