taken me some time to finally find a reasonable priced mbu and now I got this guy. About 5" in a com tank for now if all goes well he will stay if not I will re asses the situation (have tanks spare). This is the first fish ive seen to swim round the tank and really take it all in, very smart can see the cogs working.

Puffers do that often imo. Be sure to give him lots to explore and he may settle down. I rescaped my puffer tank often to keep him curious about whats in the tank rather than whats outside

Looks good btw

"Glass Surfing" is normal puffer behavior when bored, or when placed in a new situation or environment. In time he should settle in. Good luck with him, I love mine to pieces.

Congratulations. I agree that he will settle down in the sense that he won't just repetitively go up and down the glass but mine, at least, never stops moving. Also, he eats, or tries to eat, anything that hits the water, though he is OK with tankmates. So even if he seems OK with tankmates I would caution you, if adding new ones, to do so at night when he is sleeping so when he wakes up when the light comes on, the new fish is/are already there. This will increase your chances.

Cheers mate ye he's fine now always just in his own little world. I don't really wana add anymore just yet but will use that for the future
