so i just got back from vacation and havent had access to tell this but pretty interesting.i left for florida last friday and no more than 3 hrs after i arrive in florida my cousin whos watching my house for me calls and gives me the news that theres a pup in my 300 which has 2 pairs of marbles.i was so pissed.ive been trying to breed these things for 16months and the pup comes when im on vacation and my cousin whos never owned a tank before is watching them.i suspected that she might be pregnant bc she was so tore up but coudnt tell for sure.heres the really intersting thing.in june of 2009 i setup a 8.5x8.5x2.5 pond for theses rays to live in and on july 3 2010 i tore it down and moved them to the 300.the pups was born oct 16 so if you do the math thats 105 days till pup arrived so he knocked her up almost instantly after the move to the much smaller 300 gallon tank.pretty crazy.just got home and the female marble pup is doing great.i willl post pics tom as im pretty tired and just got back.sorry so long

possibly.if i have to be completely honest my guess is that the male tried to do the deed in the pond but the female had room to get away,but with less room in the tank she couldnt.sounds bad to say but thats my guess.zenyoungkoh;4573420; said:
congrats man!! also if you used all new water it would be the cleanest so it would be like doing large waterchanges and that might have simulated the start of the rainy season or something.
