Just got back from the LFS with my new 100g tank w/stand. Bad part is I have to wait till the end of the month to set it up, when we move into the new house. But it gives me about 2 weeks to figure out whether it's gonna be saltwater or freshwater. I've never done a saltwater tank so I'm really tempted, but on the other hand it's gonna cost me an arm and a leg to buy the stuff to get it going.:nilly:

Any ideas???

I'm leaning more towards FW just because I've had them for years and I know what it takes to maintain them.

But reef tanks are just so awesome......

I'd do a SW tank, as the urge to do big monsters in the 100 would be too great, and few can live in their for life. On the opposite side though (dependent on the dimensions of the 100g) a fahaka puffer would be a blast to have in that tank.

I'd base it all on money...if you have the money right now, do SW, but if not, go FW....I have only dealt with FW tanks, but I would love to go SW. But if I do SW, I'd want to do it right and to do it right you need the money.

LOL...only a matter of time before someone suggested that.

Go with Freshwater to save money...on equipment anyways. :D
