I've been waiting a long time for my peacocks to start showing some color. Well, i consider this an early christmas present. I turned on my lights in my room to find this little 3'' peacock showing color while sleeping (must have had an erotic dream heh). I was surprised to find orange/black fins, i've never seen that.

Enjoy!

What kind of peacock? By the picture it looks like a Fryeri.

Thanks for the bump above, i was told it was a fryeri.

Starting to look very good, wait until the banding goes away and he starts looking like my avatar. Fryeri are one of the main reasons I still actually keep malawi cichlids.

Color on my Peacock?? Ha ha ha haaaaa.....very funny title for this thread.:headbang2
:screwy:

peacock are slow to color, and females show little to no color (brownish). That applies to both the birds and cichlids :-D

For a moment, I thought it was a type of deep water haplochromis. Awesome coloration if I may say.

What did he look like the day before? Must have been one heck of a dream.
