Well I finally got all the sand I needed for all my tanks.I did the biggest one today. So far the fish are o.k with it.The looked tan at first but once in tank it's almost white. So I like the look of it much better than gravel and I'm sure it'll be 100 times easier to clean.I will do the 75 sometime this week.Do you think sand would be good in an isolation tank as well?..Well here's a pic of finished product, still waiting for some of the sand to settle.Last pic is of the gravel that came with tank.

this thread makes me more excited to do sand in my larger tank when i get it!
looks a ton better! congrats

I converted my 55, and after that, I converted all of my tanks to sand within a couple months. That's how much more I love it.

Thanks.I know it's a little uneven but I was just glad to get it done. This is my first time using it.It feels soo soft when running your hands through it so I can imagine how much more the fish will enjoy it.One of them already tried to eat it and spit it out...lol..The other tank will get same kind of sand and I'm adding just a little bit of gold glimmer sand to it to make it a little differnt in color.I'll post pics of other ones as I do them, again glad to be done with biggest one
