I have decided to rehome the clown loaches because I think they will become snacks soon lol so I am only going to keep the ATF, motoro and giraffe catfish but I also want to add a black arowana and Achara catfish, will this work?

Sizes of all the fish will determine if it works out long term IMO

I know I will have to get them at the right sizes, I was just asking if it is likely to work with that mix.

Giraffe cat 14-16"
Motoro 6-7" disc
Vittatus around 5"

The other 2 will likely be 3" or under but possibly 4" at the most, the guy that orders my stuff in for me looks for a specific size I want, I'm thinking aro in a few months when the ATF grows another couple more inches and get the cat when everything is 8"+

Those fish will outgrow a 220 in no time. I would get the 8 by 4 by 3, then think about adding more fish. I have also seen tiger fish tear an aro in half, that would be a waste of $$ to add imo.

Ah man! Gutted about the aro! Not sure if I should risk it or not now... My ATF is very placid but I wouldn't want to raise an aro just to see it get torn up :/

Surely I would have a year? It could be months before I even get either so wouldn't want to pass up the opportunity to get them...

Atfs are a bit of a hit or miss, some are fine in large com tanks, others are full blown monsters, a lfs I visited had some atfs and in one tank was 2 6"atfs with cichlids and silver dollars and in the other tank was another 6" ATF all alone, asked the guy why and he said that one fish has killed 2 9" oscars, a jack Dempsey, clown loach and another ATF, he got put in segregation after he tried to tear one of the other atfs in half.

Acara catfish whiskers get twice their body length, its said they get very stressed if they can touch two sides of the tank at once meaning they need more room than an rtc!
