finally decided why I like the fish hobby

I always wondered why I suddenly enjoyed fish so much. Well it just dawned on me its because we don't have anybody acusing us of running fish mills if we as a group breed and raise fish. Our family has a private zoo and there are people out there that think it should be illegal for us to breed exotic animals some even say that animals in zoos should all be neutered. Well I just don't here that in our hobby of keeping fish and I hope for the enjoyment of the hobby and for all that are breeders we never get that far. Lets all keep level heads and remember fish don't have more rights than we do. I apoligize in advance if I have offended anyone and lets all enjoy our great hobby.

I think that captive breeding of exotics is a good thing provided it is done responsibly.

We have lions ,tigers ,black bears,primates end so on I agree with the point of responsible breeding. We have people from all around the world come visit and they often mention they cannot believe the size of the big cats as you can get within 6 feet of them here. Also alot of our animals were hand raised and come up to see people . Thanks for the comments and lets keep our hobby fun and relaxing.

that sounds great. would breeding a liger be considered irresponsible? i wish i could keep an exotic cat but i'd probably get eaten one day.

Cool story original poster, i saw what kind of animals you have in your zoo, now what kind of fish do you have?

Boy where do I start with our fish we have rostratus,festae,philipene blue angels,convicts,nicarauguns,red spot severums,jd,oscars,johani pike,platys,swords,guppies,redtail giant gouramis,gg,gold gouramis,2 kinds of tropheus,demononi,ruby greens,nebulis,day glows and several more but my mind is drawing a blank. We have had baby lions and tigers in our house to bottle raise and they get real friendly but you soon learn they don't need to be very big to harm a person. I love both our zoo and our fish hobby just that when we are attacked buy the animal rights people it always takes away some of your drive to do better. So in effect when they attack us they cause the animals to suffer for a few days not that they do suffer. But I think everybody knows how it hurts to have your harc work insulted.
