Finally found a sailfin pim

I got my mountain bike tuned up on Friday and decided to stop in and check a local lfs that has really nice community tank fish while I waited. To my surprise, they had 2 4" sailfin pims (leiarius pictus) for $80 each.

Needless to say I bought one on the spot. I'll be bringing it home tomorrow and will try to get pics up then. I haven't seen one of these in roughly 20 years. It's gonna be a sweet addition to my 200 when he gets a little bigger.

Are they that expensive in California? They are like $24-$30 here.

I knew someone who had them. I won't say who but a person who has rock bottom prices and they wanted 65-75 a peice.

These are different from marbled pim I think, which is what zoo might be thinking of.

Due to a scheduled power outage in my neighborhood yesterday, I decided to wait to bring this guy home until today. Here are a few quick shots of him right after I let him into the tank. If anyone in the San Fernando Valley area is interested in one of these, PM me and I'll let you know where I got it. They still have one more and can still get more.
