Finally Found My Fish!

Woohoo!! Just went to my LFS and was pleasantly surprised to find they got some more Target Fish in!!!

I saw these guys last year, but were sold before I could get them. These are freshwater fish, but they look exactly like some marine fish i saw in Fiji. They were very active and fast and were always at the shoreline. It was like they were greeting us everytime we went in the water for snorkling.

And now I have 4 of them in with some chain loaches and a peacock eel.

nice. never seen them for sale in Canada or the US...yet. You guy must have nice fish for sale down under!

Unfortunately there a quite a lot of fish that we are unable to get here. Something as simple as an Angelicus Synodontis is not available here.
We do have some really cool natives though. Saratoga Jardini, Tandanus Catfish, Berneys Catfish, Longtom and quite a few cool rainbows and gudgeons.

If you're referring to Terapon jarbua, this is not a freshwater species. These are estuarian brackish to full marine.

^That's what I was thinking. I don't know of any "target fish" that are freshwater...

Sorry, just took delivery of some breeding tanks. Lights off time. Ill take some pics tomorrow and post them.

I got confirmation that these ones are found regularly in full fresh water here in australia and stay in fresh water.
