Hello! I have kept freshwater fish for over 25 years. I started with a 25 gallon tank, simple, basic starter stuff. After a few years I moved on to multiple tanks, and then moved up to 55 gallon tanks. About 15 years ago we built a new home, and designed a fish tank 'wall' between the kitchen and living room. It is a 150 gallon tank, sitting on a low counter with the filters and stuff underneath the tank behind the cabinet doors. You can walk around three sides and look through it. I will try to take a good photo to show you.

I have tried a number of different kinds of fish, and have learned a lot. About 8 years ago I visited an aquarium store and fell in love with the Rope Fish. Since then I have made some mistakes and have lost a few. I have also had some great successes. I now have my four Rope Fish well trained to come to a certain spot in the tank for feeding when I tap on the water, then I hand feed them. This allows me to get a close look at them, and they will tolerate some handling. With such a large tank, it is too far to reach the bottom, so I have to get them to come to the top to hand feed them. I have been meaning to record a video of it, and will post it here when I get it done. I will also post another thread detailing how I did it.
I am glad to have found this forum!
