yup. after checking like 12 other places i had pretty much caved and assumed i was gonna have to buy balls online and wait for them to get in when i remembered there was a new dollarama less then 5 mins away from me which i had completely forgot to check .. got down there and they had like 60+ packs of scrubbies so i picked up ten (60 scrubbies) hoping this should be enough for my set-up, fit in my sterilite drawers perfectly. i also added in a few nylons of crushed coral i had in my old set-up .. any thoughts about this? should i or should i not use these?

anyways on to main question. for mechanical filtration. my good buddy works in seafood section of one of our grocery stores and they use some form of poly stuff in the filters for their lobster tanks, he is going to grab me a bit of that today if he can so i can use it. any reason i should be able to? they get it in in big rolls so its not a big deal for them.

if this wont work for some reason can someone point me towards what to buy at walmart? i was there yesterday and not one employee knows anything about their fabrics (which polyester has flame retardents or mold retardents etc) .. looking for help on how i should go about finding what i need if the stuff my friend can get me is no good?

Should be OK, although I haven't seen much in the way of wal-mart except pillow batting and filter media in the aquatics section. I buy this as it is super cheap to buy in bulk.
