Been a lurker for a very long time, I was on here way back when it was predatoryfish. Well just wanted to brag a little I finally found myself a group of spotted congo puffers. Cross my fingers i'd love to get a breeding program going. I'll post pictures as soon as I pickup from my distributor.

Congrats! Very nice, beautiful, and rare puffer! I hope you get some breeding going! With every new captive bred one they can become more and more available for all of us.

Breeding would be cool! Where did you get them?
A buddy who has access to a wholesalers down in South Florida. Grabbed 8 for myself. Hmm I also found my old old account and I have no idea how to log back into it, dont even know what email address was associated with it.

They're here....they're pretty cool and all look to be healthy. Drip acclimating now, they're going into a 5ft 125 for the time being. I got 6, and they're all right around 2.5". Im tempted to grab more while I have an opportunity and get a group of 10 to breed. I'm blowing my whole years fish allowance.PXL_20210505_214301698.MP.jpgPXL_20210505_214238515.jpg

Nice find. Kind of reminds me of when I saw my first 2 ever, orange spot/saddle back fugu puffers for sale, in person. Also seen a hairy puffer once but that been awhile ago that I last seen that one for sale. Lol no clue if either of those 2 are rare at all but I've never seen em at all before or since then.

Not as common as others, but not hard to come by either.

So after drip acclimating I slowly added them all to the tank. One guy wasnt looking to great but after about 15 minutes his coloring came back and he started to explore. I fed a little mix of frozen bloodworms and krill plus dumped a few dozen small ramshorns into the tank. Everyone was eating, always a great sign. I have all the lights out so the video wouldn't be great but I'll get some in the am when they're easier to see.
