Finally found the fish I want

OK have been looking around for the kind of fish. A blood parrot cichlid.
Have been reading on tank info for them and wanted to know if this site sounded right?

Ya, neat little fish.

I have 1 blood red parrot, really cute little thing. The site sounds good on info.

They can get big, near 8 inches. MOST Blood RED parrots (bright red) are sterile. However, most Blood Parrots (not completely red, white patches) are fertile.

It sounds about right, but as that site says, beware of fish that have been visually altered. It's bad to support things like that, especially since alot of the time fish that have been "changed" were put through a lot of stress and may die sooner than natural varieties.

i saw a ni very nice one with a little hump on his head being sold around my area wa interested with it but what turned me off is it had some artificial design done to it.

dont shops ttrim their tails to make them like that ?

i think only "heart-shaped" parrots have tails trimmed..
