It has been a while since I said I would try to get some SLR shots of the Geophagus Neviae but tonight I did it!
The male was a perfect model tonight, I think he liked having his pic taken. Got a few yawning shots!
Two of my three females are holding fry but aren't letting them out right now. (Because I took my boyfriends bully of a Red Tail Black Shark off his hands due to aggression in his tank...looks like sharky is going to have a new home at my lfs)
Anyway, here are the pics of the geos!

The shark seems to have calmed down a bit...male might have put him in his place haha.
I am planning on monitoring them for a few days and see how it goes.
I'm not trying to breed my goes, although I do enjoy watching the wee babies :)
The females have become more trusting with me with this round of fry. Last time the second I'd go in for a closer look the females would suck the fry back up and now (with one female at least) she parades them around for me
 
I haven't seen your posts in a while. It's good to see that you and your fish are doing well. These are some good photos of some nice Geos. I hope they continue to thrive. Godd luck with the fry too.
 
love your pics! wish ALL my fish were good models, other than my 2 texas, the rest aree still skidish when im taking pictures and it requires me spending extrabtime when im taking photos
