Yesterday i finally got a Black Arowana! How excited, i had been many years that never saw a single Black Arowana...haha.

This little guy is around 3.5 inches. I got it with RM180 (Ringgit Malaysia), but plus all the transport fees and become around RM380. This is the only one Black Aro i saw in the fish shop, and the boss told me that this is the only one Black Aro he had imported...i was so luckly that i could get it.

Actually this is my fifth Black Arowana, previous i got kept 4 in different time period (year 1995-2006) but all had past away.

I am very supprise that he start to eat the Arowana Pallet after 1 hour i had released him into the tank. As my experiences on last few Black Arowanas, they will not start to feed so fast and atleast need to wait for 3-5 days to start feed.

Cute little guy:

The tank is 4ft x 1.5ft x 1.5ft, but it seem too large for a baby black arowana so i had used a devider to make it 2ft x 1.5ft x 1.5ft.

good move with the divider. Easier to feed the little guy and he gets used to you faster. have a stand-by ready as he will outgrow 4" by next easter ^^
