Since I had to let go of my last RTC along with many of my other fish due to complications while setting up my 215g Ive been missing it very badly, IMHO Red Tailed Catfish are the most personable, fun, beautiful, and interesting fish you can keep and besides the large tank requirement they are fairly easy to care for.
For me Red Tailed Catfish are the only fish that I would not call a fish but instead a soul mate or a best friend. They enjoy being pet and loved and give the same love back.
Finally I got a new one but this one at just under 2" is an adorable little baby:D. It arrived today and within an hour already ate almost half a shrimp (cut up into chunks) from my hand and now his tummy is very full:grinno:.
I look forward to growing him to his full potential.:D

Heres a picture of him, sorry for the bad quality but my camera on my droid has a tough time focussing in on small things.

I would love to get one of these guys...start him out this size...and just watch him grow to be a fish as big as me or so! That would be such a fun experience. No doubt there would be lots of bonding along the way. Have fun with the little guy...wish you could get better pics.
