and thank god i finally did. Buckets were starting to kill me! I think i will still use a powerhead and a length of hose to get my water out the window, but for filling and gravel vacs i have to say the python is a miracle!

I only have a 55 as my largest current tank, but it took quite a while to get that filled with buckets and i'm sure once i get my 150 that i'll again be thanking myself for getting a python!

Congrats !!!!! They are well worth the money !!!

I recently bought one when i got a used 60 and 90. I love it. Great investment

I've been wanting to get one for water changes (like you I'm tired of hauling buckets) but how do you add decholrinator when useing a python to fill the tank. A few drops every so often or all at once?

Thanks...........................

When I first got mine, I thought that I should've gotten this a long time ago. It's a great tool.

Pythons are the way to go! Couldn't keep the number of tanks I do without it!

Since your tank has little to no ammonia in it, you can go ahead an dose it. The dechlor wont' be used (since the lack of chlorine) so it will bond relatively fast when it meets chlorine. Or you could just drop it into the strea of incoming water.

i always just run my hose out side and just drain the tank outside b/c my woter pressure isn't good enough to get really good suction and then just hook it up to the sink to fill only works good for me

python is the single best peice of aquarium maintence tool ever we all are proud to own one as far as the chlorine u should treat yyour water first before putting into the tank but thats in a perfect world if u dont have room for a rubbermaid tote than ive seen people treat after they filled up or during just dont overdose
