Well guess what, i just accomplished one of the easiest things in fishkeeping. I got my convicts to breed. They had bred before in my 29 gallon community but the eggs go eaten and then the female that laid the eggs died for some mysterious reason. Well i still had a nice looking female and the male so i placed them in a 10 gallon tank, 3 weeks later i come home and bam there are free swimming fry (didn't even see any eggs or sign of them having done the fish nasty)
Yes i know its really really easy to get them to breed, but these are my first ones besides guppies to get fry from. Once they get large enough i can pull them out with a net i'm going to place them in my 10 gallon guppy breeding/feeder tank for them to grow to be food for my cichlids and polypterus.
I feel so great right now!
