Well after countless threads and years on here of true tigrinus catfish being shown in all of there glory; I finally got my hands on one
.
It is about 4" to 5" and doing very well for the last couple of days. Took it home monday after waiting about a week and a half at the store just to make sure it was stable and eating.. Got a great deal on it as it was less then $200
(thanks to a discount from work) and yes it is a true tig and not a jurunese cat.
Right now it is tiny guppies at least 24 a day and ghost shrimp. Want to get it off live food but I think it is too soon for that. It is in a 20 long holding tank as it is to small to play with the big boys in the 180. Also picked up a 3" to 4" E.Endlicheri and a 5" to 6" royal pleco too.
Only bad part is my camera is dead and have no idea where the charger is at
. So pics are coming hopefully tomorrow night.
I am pretty good with housing bichirs and plecos but that tig was a ? mark for me. Anything I have to watch out for or any good feeding habits to make it live through this fragile time of its life?
Thanks
