So I moved into my new house last week and just finished setting up my new (used) 220 Saturday. The tank trim and stand were Oak, I painted the stand black and built a canopy to match. This is the largest tank I have had so far so im super excited :grinno:220before.jpg220empty.jpg220filling.jpg220.jpg220Molly.jpg

Its 180 pounds of all purpose sand mixed with about 30 pounds of fine gravel, not sure of the brand. The driftwood piece came with the tank, not sure exactly what type but it sinks, and is very hardwood.

I know I will get some nay sayers about my stock, but it has worked for me for years in the past in smaller tanks.....Softshell turtle mixed with a few larger fish. My SS turtle is 4 inches long and completely ignores any fish over an inch long. Ive always wanted a Giant Gourami, so I'm going to give that a try, my LFS has some nice 4 inch white ones for $12, I know I will have to rearrange my decor a little once he gets larger. So here's my list.
-Soft Shell turtle
-Giant Gourami
-Florida Gar
-Albino Tiger Oscar
-Undecided but I would like a decent size cat of some kind.

If the turtle gets aggressive in the future, ive got a few other tanks that he could live in by himself.
Any other recommendations on additional stock?

Sounds like you might be over-stocked once everyone grows up...
