Nothing special about this guy's colors as you can see from pictures but he's very cool for a first. Only thing I'm worried about is he still has some sheds on his toes. Any advices? Another thing is that normal for his tail to be always to the left like that?

My fiance wasn't too happy about me bringing him a gecko so I took her out and bought her two shoes today lol.

.

nice male ilike the red spots as for the toe sheds they should come off and the tail looks like a case of floppy tail you can be sure of that if you notice he prefers to hang upside down if not it could be mbd so just watch his behavior for a couple days then do an update

Thanks

Just gave him a 10 minute "sauna bath" and the sheds came right off:headbang2.

Thinking it might but floppy tail since he doesn't display another signs of MBD on him. His head, limbs and tail looks normal except for the base of tail where it bends left:( I'll keep an eye on him though.

u can check his calcium sacs in the back of his mouth

pangea has directions i think

tails are always the first to show signs of MBD and if you got him from a place like petsmart, then you can almost be sure of it. just up the calcium and he should be fine.

Congrats on the Crested, hope the MBD gets cleared up soon.

Rather than it being MBD, it could be a kink in the tail that was calcified from birth or an injury growing up. The tail is not the first sign of MBD folks, its usually started with miniscule shakes then leading to appendage failure ie hind quarters usually going first then following would be kidney failure before the front quarters cease to function, by then the animal is on its death bed. What is this animal feeding on? And do you have the humidity up so that it can shed properly? Using a little sterilite box with some vermiculate and some moss will do the trick and females lay in these such humid/nest boxes.
