Little the title says, finally found one in Ireland which is really rare. Delighted. He's two inches and was wondering what's the best food to give him? Only have him a few hours so he's settling in at the moment. Got some packs of frozen bloodworms cos my red bellies loved them when young. Would I need anything else and would you give him some feeders if he's not eating? Don't have any feeders my self so would be risky getting them from the lfs. Thanks for the help, Alan.

frozen blood worms would work, a solo serra won't eat as much as pygos even at young age so you need to just cut off the right size portion to avoid waste which can effect your water quality if not removed right away.
you can also feed small piece of shrimp or fish pieces, basically anything small enough that it can swallow a bite into pieces.

I give mine, shrimp, tilapia, feeders, pinkys or mice, they aren't picky eaters. Have fun! I love my little guy.

When he's little, once a day. Feed him with the lights on also. You don't want to push bad habits and feeding him at night in the dark. Also I would mix in some live foods in his diet, to give him something to go after every now and then.
