Finally got my upgrade.. 150 tall

Found a great deal on Craigslist... A 150 tall, it's 48 x 24.5 x 31. This this is massive and I think I'm starting to like the deep, wide tanks vs. the long ones now.

Anyway, this is going to be the future home for some of the fish in my 55 grow out.

2 oscars
2 blood parrots
2 convicts
1 female Texas
1 jack Dempsey

I feel like I can put in a few more fish? Thoughts?

I think you are a little overstocked actually but with lots of water changes and if everyone gets along you can weed them out as they grow. If it were a standard 150 it would be easier but tall tanks do look good and take up much less space. Good luck.

Take pics when fish is added. Haven't seen a 150 tall used for cichlids in a while.

I wouldnt add any ....i would look to reduce stock

Nice size tank, IMO your still going to be over stocked. I would look to remove a lot of the above mentioned fish.
