I've had a few tanks with various species of cichlids mixed together and the fish that were of different species that would pair, would split up after a week or so. Finally, out of nowhere, my Kamfa and my Midevil decided to get their own thing going on and laid eggs two days ago. I checked them this morning and amazingly only about 10 out of 200 eggs turned white. The rest look fertile! Kinda stoked. These fry will mostly become feeders but ill probably keep a couple just to see what they look like when they hit adulthood. Here are the parents. These are older pics so ill try to get updated ones soon.

Also eagerly waiting!

Dont use them as feeders too early because out of all of them you might have a lucky nice one. Midas gene might add big kok to the offspring

Thanks for the feedback guys. Looks like I jumped the gun. About 95% of the eggs have turned white so looks like Mr. Kamfa is either infertile or as dumb as he looks and can't hit the target. Regardless everything in the tank seems peaceful so I'm hoping they'll try again in a little time. Either way this experience was good because it confirmed the sex of these fish.
