Finally got the 480 running

480 will have crenicichla zebrina cichla Pinima cichla intermedia black arowana
450 will contain my Astronotus crassipinnis heros Severus and cichla brokopondo

What type of sand did you use in the 480? Also filtration set up? Would be nice to see that as well

Pool filter sand from menards 7$ for 50lbs and natural pea gravel. Filtration is just a couple 55 gallon sumps with 60lbs of ceramic media I have 4 200micron filter socks as well the drip will be split to this setup soon. I will eventually chain another sump to this tank also as I have 4 cubic ft of k1 to use

How big will your next sump end up being with 4 cubic feet of K1?

Just finished it’s cycle adding 4 zebra pike to begin tommorow Pinima will be soon after also added the drip each emitter is 2gph both the 450 and 480 are on 6gph and I added pothos to the top
