Finally happy with a pellet food choice

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I just use the standard O1 baby-pellet floating/sinking combo and they all smash them.....but I still use at least a dozen other foods

My fish are spoiled too.
They also get red wigglers, frozen and freeze dried hikari blood worms, frozen plankton, frozen brine shrimp, omega one first flakes, and live tubifex worms( started my own batch with the ones I got from the lfs).

I should get that formula then too.
nah, u already got the next step up. no need to go back to a lower protein food. keep working on the color. :D The stuff I got is only 32% crude protein. You want a better food, grab a bag of Hikari Bio-Gold+ Highest protein I seen so far, plus axstaxanathin <------wow, idk if I spelled that right, but the Spell-checker didn't make heads or tails of it either lol

....oh, and beneficial microorganisms

the colors on my fish really pop sometimes

Thanks for the tip Frank Castle Frank Castle , off to go look at pricing lol
yea, do that....some places have it for close to $20 and some have it closer to $10-$12....it adds up after a few months

they only have mini and medium though now....used to have all 4 sizes....even messaged Hikari here on the forum ...idk why they did it.

Good to know.

My black lancers are very unfussy. Take cheap pellets ($1 a pound) and bait fish pieces among almost anything else.
