ya i was just watching the tank yesterday and in the clay pot i saw a lot of eggs(100 or so). I was surprised but was waiting for this to happen. thee are 5 (used to be 6) guppies and 1 pleco. the guppies arent bothered by the convicts but the pleco's fins are ripped apart. how long does it take until the eggs hatch? andwhen they hatch how long do i wait until i feed them?

mine also have just bred and it took about 2-3 days to hatch i have the breeding pair 4 juvinile convicts and 1 male and 1 female bristlenose catfish and they dont bother them then after 5 days just after they become free swimming feed them the fry are currently a week or so old and i feed them baby brine shrimp every morning and afternoon after the brine shrimp run out i will start them on crushed tropical flake hopefully my experience with the fry will help you.

If you do not feed enough, you will have a huge die off in the first 3 days of the free swimming stage. You can raise 100% of the fry, or you may only wind up with 1% raised. All depends on how well you take care of them.
