Well i finally went out and got my Oscar and Pictus Cat a 75 gallon. My question is do you think it would be safe to add (well try...) another fish or two in with them or will my water quality go down drastically. I was thinking maybe a couple silver dollars or something else that is descent sized and peaceful. If not, no big deal.

Leave it the way it is....Just maintain on your weekly water changes....What is the footprint of the tank????????

The only thing I would suggest is a few more pictus catfish. They are a schooling fish, so you should keep a 3 or 4 together. Now about the quality of the water will also depend on the type of filtration on the tank.

Like i said it's no big deal to me the way it is, i more than likely will. The tank is 48" x 18"

I heard they school together when small/younger but as they mature they become territorial and stay apart. Not worried to much about Ammonia or Nitrites because i am running three filters that are rated for a 75 gallon each:naughty: More so on keeping the Nitrates down.
