As some of you know right after the holiday season my 250 started to leak and I had to move fish all over the place. (30 fish 5 inches and bigger in a 135 was not fun to keep up.)

Yesterday a friend came over and picked up the 250 to try to fix. In return he help me pick up a 260 acrylic (98 in long, 24 wide, 25.5 tall). I am quite pleased with this tank. Honestly I love 8 ft long tanks, and hate tanks that are 30 inches or taller. So for another 250ish size tank this one is perfect. (Plus it is acrylic.) (Note now I have three 8 ft long tanks...)

The original owner had a sump system with two Rubbermaids. I decided to use his and made 2 light grating buckets to fill with bio-material and up filtration material on the top. (See picture of an idea of what I am talking about.) It will be a piece of cake to clean. I just have to pull out the filters to clean, and if I want to clean the bio material I can pump out of the sump and flush everything while filling the tank.

I already have moved the fish in the 130 over and I am using those filters too.

Here are a few pictures. This room is going to hold my 75, 2 30 longs and maybe my 50 acrylic when all is said and done. Plus there will be a little space for me to sit :-)

Thanks. Obviously I still have plenty to do. I am not putting a substrate in since I have too many tanks to keep clean. I have to decide if I want to put in some of my Lace rock, but well fish always hurt themselves on it.

I have lights but I need to figure out a way to make them work with this setup, since I tossed the canopy. (It was crud and I always keep them up anyways.)

Oh and those fish are as large as ~12 inches.
